Head North from Launceston on the West Tamar Highway following signs to Beaconsfield (25km). When you get to 'Beakey', as the locals call it, ask anyone for "a restaurant" and chances are they'll recommend their favourite Chef, Donna, at Tamar Cove.

Go right, (east) towards the river, away from the setting sun, or follow the signs to Beauty Point, but STOP short of the township when you see this sign:

You're there, it's only a stones throw from 'Beakey', so take it easy otherwise you'll miss it! If you need a bed they've got freshly refurbished family and double rooms with r/c TV and mini-bar. It's a good idea to ring first if you want to stay, and the great prices may be a pleasant surprise! Same goes for the menu;

"the cooking is top class, with good fresh ingredients,
carefully prepared and served with style and flair"
